Seth Godin spoke about managing urgencies yesterday; this is relevant to personal and business life . All of us have big plans and medium sized plans. Whether it is to lose weight, opening the dusty Netflix envelopes on a Friday night or attend a webinar that could advance your online business towards success.

We are easily distracted by what Godin calls “the fires in the kitchen.”

We have so many day to day tasks that we forget about our medium to long-term goals. At some point we have to either give ourselves more time or break out of the comfort-zone and take a risk to improve ourselves. Let the small fires burn a little longer.

Eveyone looking at this blog propably has a pile of day-to-day tasks to get to.. including myself. But at what point do we make long term success a daily goal?
