Sign Up Now at exclusiveconcepts.com/webinars.php. Hello and welcome to Your Daily Concept – Get Smarter Everyday. Today is Conversion Wednesday. Incidentally, it is also a webinar day. Today at 12pm EST, I (Dan T) will be a presenter for Exclusive Concepts’ monthly webinar for January. The topic is “What are my next steps to improve conversion rates?”. As a teaser for today’s FREE webinar, I will be covering a couple of the slides that will be discussed in further detail later today.

In this slide, we’re covering 1 of the 4 critical steps that every website owner must take in order to identify their ideal approach to improving conversion rates. This is one of the most analytical portions of the webinar.

We’re showing you how to identify your strengths and weaknesses within your site itself by looking at page types within your Yahoo Web Analytics. Once you’re signed in, Click on Content > then Document Group > Visits by Document Group > Customize Report at the Top of the Report > Click on the Metrics Tab > Click and Drag Metrics: Bounce Rate, Internal Conversion Rate and Revenue Participation. Click Save Report and You should see something similar to the current example.

As we zoom in closer to the data, we notice that the store, which encapsulates the homepage and category pages, has a high bounce rate and a relatively low conversion rates. But, it also happens to have the most traffic. This easy exercise has just helped us identify what part of the site is our highest priority to work on to improve conversion rates for the website.

Next, we pull up a quick analysis of traffic to the website. Click on Marketing > then Search Engines > Customize Report > Click on the Metrics Tab > Click and Drag Metrics: Bounce Rate, Sales Conversion Rate and Revenue. Click Save Report and You should see something similar to the current example.

We’re looking at the search engines and clearly, our Google traffic has the poorest conversion and bounce rate figures amongst the 3 top search engines. At the same time, it represents by far the most amount of traffic to the site. To act upon these figures, we must define a two-prong approach to improving the quality of traffic from Google and making a stronger connection with visitors from that source.

We’ll define how to go about that and much more during today’s webinar at 12pm EST. All the pertinent information for this FREE webinar is on this screen. You can sign up now for free at exclusiveconcepts.com/webinars.php. We have a new webinar once a month.
